Title: how to drive bjt(pnp or npn) pass elements by mosfet

resently, i tried to design a regulator( 1A max output current ) with external pass elements by a cmos buffer.
i found it is too hard to drive a bjt transistor by mosfet circuit because the impedance of bjt transistor is too small.
can anyone give me same advices? thx in advance
