Title: 90 nm pad capacitance
Post by gus_1 on Nov 15th, 2010, 11:35am

I am using 90nm fior my circuit to make layout in cadence but the pad shows a capacitor of just 20fF. I tried it after making layout of pad, but it remains the same. Though the interconnecting wires show capacitance but the pad shows no capacitance in the av_extracted. The pad structure is also very different from that in 180nm.

Can anyone please tell me whats wrong, also what is rough pad capacitance value in 90nm.

Thanx in advance.

Why do you think this number, 20fF, is wrong? What's the area of the pad? Which metal layers are used? What's unit capacitance in Foundry document between the metal layer to sub?
