Title: FFE in TX Post by raja.cedt on Jan 29th, 2011, 7:25pm hi, can any one please tell me the difference between pre-emphasis and de-emphasis. Little bit what i know is in pre-emphasis when signal changes from 0 to 1 swing would go higher than what it has to be. Thanks. |
Title: Re: FFE in TX Post by bharat on Feb 2nd, 2011, 7:59pm FFE ( feed forward equalization) is an effort to minimize frequency dependent attenuation with the help of digital filter (FIR). The de-emphasis increases the relative strength of high frequency content of the transmitted signal and increasing the total signal power so that by the time data reaches RX, it has enough signal strength despite attenuation through channel. |
