hi,
can any one please tell me is there any way to predict phase response from step response of a system?

Thanks.
Raj.

Hi,
yes, You can measure the rise time and the settling time of the step response and from there you can predict the zeta and natural frequency of second order system. Once this is know i think phase response is known. i assume you approximate your system as second order system

Hi raja.cedt,

Every L(inear)T(ime)I(nvariant) system is exactly defined by its step response.
All you need is the Fourier transform of your step response...
