Title: How to extract s-parameters from datapoints in Spectre ?
Post by Mayank on May 12th, 2011, 11:04pm

Hii,

I gotta query.
I have a table of Datapoints indicating Attenuation in dBs against corresponding frequencies, like

FREQUENCY  ----   ATTENUATION
 (MHz)                       (dB)
0.064 ----------------- 0.08
0.512 ----------------- 0.13
1.000 ----------------- 0.20
48.00 ----------------- 1.35
200.0 ----------------- 3.2
400.0 ----------------- 5.8

How do i model a TLINE in SPECTRE with these parameters so as to extract s-parameters out of it ??

Thanks,
Mayank.

Hi, I would create a little s2p file for my own with f s11 s21 s12 s22 in dB and with phase in degrees. You can directly use your values, but need to add the phase too - simple if you know the length.  :)
Spectre can include this s2p file using analogLib/nport.
