Title: Step loading current in linear regulator Post by newic on Jun 30th, 2011, 4:04am After designing a linear regulator, i did a step response on the current loading from 0mA to max mA & from max mA to 0mA with a paramter tr (ramping rate). I put a tr=10ns, i see a big voltage jump, which exceed the max electrical over stress condition of transitors. What is the realistic ramping rate? |

Title: Re: Step loading current in linear regulator Post by casual on Jul 7th, 2011, 6:07pm if the ramping rate frequency is higher than the bandwidth of the opamp, the opamp wont respond instantly, it needs some time. |
