Title: sigma delta adc in simulink
Post by jovial on Aug 17th, 2011, 9:38am

hello everyone!!
I am reading the book "CMOS Cascade Sigma-Delta Modulators for Sensors and Telecom: Error Analysis and Practical Design (Analog Circuits and Signal Processing)
Rocío Río Fernández (Author), Fernando Medeiro Hidalgo (Author), Belén Pérez Verdú (Author), José Manuel Rosa Utrera (Author), Ángel Rodríguez-Vázquez (Author) "

I am trying to simulate a sigma delta adc(single loop, first order, 3 bit internal quantizer) based on pulse density modulation.
The book has a figure for the output of such a modulator(fig is attateched) on page 35.

Can anybody help me with the block diagram in simulink to obtain such an output.
I have simulated ΔΣ adc earlier, but the output waveform is similar to that of the delta modulator.

Simulink and its toolboxes has all the parts to put together an equivalent. Stay in the math models and away from the "Physical System" blocks and it will run quicker.

What's the issue?
