Title: Newbee dilemma relating to a home theater system
Post by anadlerfula on Nov 9th, 2011, 8:13pm

I am sorry should I be in the incorrect thread. I am in search of some advice concerning how to install an outdoor wireless speaker. The issue is due to the wireless speaker kit transmitter that I am using for my surround loudspeakers. The transmitter won't ever enter stand by while my AV receiver is powered down since my receiver will forever send out a humming sound. For that reason my rear loudspeakers will continue sending out this particular humming noise anytime I am not watching TV. I could perhaps set up something which would physically cut the signal cable between the receiver and transmitter while the receiver is in standby. I'm not very technically experienced and thus would appreciate ideas.

Suggest - look on the system manufacturers web site for support information.

This forum is more oriented to semiconductors and the design of "microchips"

There are also a number of forums out there on audio systems.
