Title: Variable optimizer via verilog-ams? Post by weber8722 on Dec 2nd, 2011, 3:16am Hi, verilog-a or verilog-ams allow programming of measurement modules or state-machines to set a bus to obtain a desired output value (like 1V+-10mV). The later can be done with a simple sweep or via succ. approx. Good applications would be doing a circuit calibration, etc. Such techniques are also very similar to mathematical optimization algorithms (like gradient optimizers). Spectremdl features such simple optimizer, but is something like that also available in verilog-a/ams?? :D :)Would be helpful to have such a module esp. if it can treat multiple variables, because then a simple sweep to check all combinations is often far too time-consuming. :( Bye Stephan |
