Title: Natural Frequency of 2nd order PLL
Post by raja.cedt on Dec 5th, 2011, 1:48pm

hello all,
Can any one please explain what is the purpose of  natural frequency (wn, constant term in 2nd order standard Characteristic equation ), because all dynamics will be controlled by loop bw, which has no relation with wn.

Thanks,
Raj.

Wn (or Wo, dpends on paper) are the same thing.

Generally a 2nd order PLL can be described in terms of Wn and Zeta

hello,
yes i know that, but only loop bw play role, for a second order it is equal to icp*kvco*r1/n...

Thanks,
raj.
