Title: Looking to calculate the length of an antenna Post by TurboV on Jan 28th, 2012, 12:12am I discovered this formula which gives the approximate length of an antenna. Can anyone tell me if this is correct ? I don't have any specifications on the antenna just looking for a rough estimate. wavelength in meters = 300 / frequency in MHz That means if someone is using the 2.4GHz band the length of the antenna would be 300/2400 = 0.125 meters ? I don't know if this sounds correct but was hoping someone could validate this formula. Thanks in advance |
