Title: self-bias PLL vs ICO PLL
Post by newic on Mar 21st, 2012, 8:14pm

self biased PLL is widely used but the jitter performance is not that good if compare to ICO type PLL (better PSRR). Is it true and why?

what do you mean by ICO? is it current controlled oscillator. If so you are wrong because self bias pll is based on CCO (may be some people cal this is regulator based vco).

Thanks,
Raj.

yes, comparing to CCO type, which is regulator based VCO.
what are the pros & cons on this regulator based VCO?
