Title: buffer design for measuring the sampled signal.
Post by Jacki on Aug 13th, 2012, 12:52pm

Hello,

Now I am designing a switched-capacitor amplifier, and I consider how to measure the result now. Since the output of the SC-amplifier is sampled data, I want to use a buffer (source follower, also has the function of filter) to transfer the sampled data to the continuous analog wave, then by using the buffer to drive the oscilloscope as well.

My input frequency is 5MHz, and sampling frequency is 30MHz. What is the spec for the buffer if I want to recover the analog wave well? I think the gain of source follower is closed to 0dB, and I am interested in the 3-dB bandwidth of the buffer.

Would any experienced designers give some comments?

   Thank you.
