Title: How to select between two signals, as the output
Post by guava on Apr 19th, 2013, 7:06pm

I've got three incoming signals; one is from a mic, one is from a comparator and the other is from an iPod. Depending on the value of the comparator, I want to output the signal from either the mic or iPod.

My idea is to use a 2:1 multiplexer, using a select line (signal from comparator). I want to do this purely using a analog configuration i.e nothing digital.

I don't know if this is the most practical way to go about it. I don't how I can do it using the multiplexer, if it is to be purely analog.

Any ideas?

You can use analog switch IC from Onsemi or Fairchild.
