Title: Two port mixer results in overloading of IF amplifiers.
Post by iVenky on May 13th, 2013, 7:28am

Can anyone tell me how two port mixers result in overloading of IF amplifiers? This is what I saw in Thomas H Lee's book

"Additionally, since two-port mixers have only one input port, the RF and LO signals are generally not well isolated from each other. This lack of isolation can cause the problems mentioned earlier, such as overloading of IF amplifiers. "

Thanks a lot
