Title: Liquid Crystal Display drivers
Post by XY-oriented on Sep 4th, 2013, 6:48am

Hi all,
I am starting the design of a Liquid Crystal Display driver and can't find any models for the crystals.

I am specially concerned about spikes (above and bellow power rails) when switching . I don't know what to expect...

I went to the Lab and probed some pattern on a commercial display and there I couldn't see any spikes but I am afraid that the capacitance of the probe could be hiding them.

any help with the electrical model of the LCDs (passive ones) or advise regarding these type of drivers would be of match help

thanks a lot

why do you think that the resistance would be hiding it?
