Has anyone ever tried to use an RF simulation (QPSS perhaps) on a switching DC-DC converter? Does the idea make any sense? Could you see load regulation effects?

PSS analysis and its associated small-signal analyses are very well suited for DC-DC converters. Please see my comments at http://www.cadence.com/community/blogs/rf/archive/2009/04/22/spectre-rf-by-any-other-name.aspx.
