Title: Gain-boost Design confusion Post by watt.xu on Jan 20th, 2014, 9:31am Hello everyone: Recently I am designing a Gain boost op-amp for pipeline adc. I read a 90s paper about the Gain boost design. I confronted 2 problem confounded me. The first one is pole-zero doublet. How this doublet affect the settling time and why it locates at the unity gain bandwidth of auxiliary boost. The second problem is about the stability problem. How can I derive that we need the unity gain bandwidth smaller than main amplifier's second non-dominant pole. That is all.. Thank you guys . Alex X |
