Title: Creating Calibreview in Virtuosuo (IC5141) Post by samiran on Jun 1st, 2014, 7:17am Hi All, I am using Cadence's Virtuoso (IC5141) for schematic and layout editing. and Mentor's Calibre Interactive for physical verification. After I got the layout LVS and DRC clean, I used Calibre PEX to extract RC parasitic. (Please see attached screenshots of different setup window of Calibre related to PEX). The tool is extracting the parasitic (as shown the list of extracted parasitic), however no calibreview is created. Please help me find the out the root-cause of this problem. Please look at the error log from CIW window. Code:

Title: Re: Creating Calibreview in Virtuosuo (IC5141) Post by Jacki on Jun 2nd, 2014, 11:20am Hi, I see your log file, it seems you have two problems. One is the cellmap, usually the cellmap file is provided by the foundry, you don't need to add it by yourself except the parasitic resistor and capacitor. Second is your grid setting in the layout. Each designkit has its own x,y snap space. when you start to draw the layout, the default snap space is already the minimum one, you cannot change it to a smaller value, or else you have the grid problem. Hope it can help you. Jacki |
