hi all
i want to design LC-VCO but before design VCO i need to have model parasitic of inductor for performance simulatoin.but i cant design inductor so i must use the existent model at paper...
but i cant found a paper complete of lumped model circuit of inductor and with value of elements.
can anyone help me for have paper?
it's very good if you give me the DOI code of paper!
(i need to spiral symmetric inductor with 2nh value at 4-6 ghz)
i'm very need to have that paper.pleas help me.

Hi Azadbakht,

are you asking for a RLCK model for a 2nH inductor at 4-6 GHz? I doubt you will find one since the model depends on a lot of factors such as

1) how complex is your model?
2) the process. Height of the metal above the substrate, thickness of the metal, copper or aluminium etc...
3) there are many different ways to design an inductor and depending on the Q you want you will find many different answers.

There are some open-source EM simulation tools you can try out which I think you are allowed to use for educational purposes but you will have to check. Another option is Asitic (just google it). I've never used it but it should be a good starting point.

i downloaded the Sonnet Software,but i when want to analysis example in software,the software give me an error and i cant maintain the analysis...

can you help me for resolve this problem?

I've never used Sonnet before, but clearly your Sonnet Lite licence doesn't cover the features you are trying to use...maybe try a different software.
