Title: OTA
Post by yo_misma on Oct 24th, 2015, 4:35am

Hi, I need to solve the attached exercise about a simple OTA. I think it is very basic theoretical exercise, but I have been working with digital electronics so I have forgotten all about analog issues  :-[

Especially, I would like to know about how to study the stability of this simple OTA.

I will be most grateful if you could solve the exercise.

Thanks in advance  :)

I can help you a little with architectures, but I imagine this task could be easily done by Google.

Here you'll find examples of opamps which can serve as OTA:
http://www.mtcmos.com/opamp/
1. http://www.mtcmos.com/class-a/
2. http://www.mtcmos.com/class-a-cascoded/
3. http://www.mtcmos.com/class-a-folded-cascode/

I think you can carry all the exercise easily using books like Baker, Razavi, Maloberti etc. Here you will find examples of books: http://www.designers-guide.org/Books/

You can read E.Allen's CMOS Analog Circuit Design. In chapter 6 it provide detailed OTA design and test method.
Hope it can help you :)
