Title: 2nd order delta sigma stability
Post by tul84 on Nov 4th, 2015, 2:23am

Is there a general stability criteria for delta-sigma modulators. As far I understand is the stability input voltage dependent, is it possible to
get a stable 2nd order modulator for full-scale input resulting in all samples '1' at the output? Are there recommendations on good papers or books?
Thank you in advance.

Hi tul84,

I cannot answer your question, but I can give you a bunch of links about delta-sigma. Hope you will find something helpful there.

Before giving the full list, there is one position especially recommended where it comes about delta-sigma. It is Norsworthy S.R., Schreier R., Temes G.C., Delta-sigma Data Converters Theory, Design, and Simulation, 1997. Maybe this is what you're looking for.
