Title: Derivative of a curve Post by raja.cedt on Dec 20th, 2015, 5:45am Hello--Just want to check is there any in-built function available in spectre for differentiation. Basically I have CDF from a transient noise simulation and I would like to see PDF from that. Currently doing this in Matlab, but it is very tedious job forr all PVT. Best Regards, Raj. |
Title: Re: Derivative of a curve Post by ULPAnalog on Dec 20th, 2015, 8:39am Hello Raja Did you consider using the deriv function in wavescan calculator that comes with Cadence? Thanks and regards |
Title: Re: Derivative of a curve Post by raja.cedt on Dec 20th, 2015, 8:42pm Hello-- I cant see such kind of function in my calculator, I think I am using recent and most advanced version. Could you please tell me in which version you have got this option? Raj. |
Title: Re: Derivative of a curve Post by baab on Dec 21st, 2015, 2:57am Hi, I think the function should have in almost Cadence versions. I used version 5.14 and 6.16 and if I remember correctly the function is available in these versions. |
Title: Re: Derivative of a curve Post by ULPAnalog on Dec 21st, 2015, 10:58am Yes, I have been using it since icfb (Cadence v5) days. It exists even in the latest 6.16 version and I do not see any good reason why Cadence would remove it. It should be under special function (or All) category in Function Panel in Calculator. |
