Title: Finesim spice simulation results for leakage power Post by Yuyu11131 on Apr 14th, 2016, 1:17pm Hi all, I have questions about how to understand the simulation results from Finesim for leakage power. I ran the leakage power characterization for a cell. The results have the following items: input_current_InputPinName= current_value from= t_start to= t_end input_voltage_InputPinName= voltage_value from= t_start to= t_end supply_current_Vsubstrate= current_value from= t_start to= t_end supply_current_Vdd= current_value from= t_start to= t_end supply_current_Vgnd= current_value from= t_start to= t_end supply_voltage_Vsubstrate=voltage_value from= t_start to= t_end supply_voltage_Vdd=voltage_value from= t_start to= t_end supply_voltage_Vgnd=voltage_value from= t_start to= t_end I tried to compare the values from the above to the liberty file and found that Leakage power of a cell = supply_current_Vsubstrate * supply_voltage_Vsubstrate + supply_current_Vbody * supply_current_Vbody. The equation gives the impression that the leakage power only relates to the supply pins (Vdd and Vsubtrate). So my questions are: 1. Do the input current & current flow to ground pin contribute to the leakage current? 2. If yes to 1, how? is there any equation that I can follow? 3. If no to 1, then what are these two currents for? Thank you very much!! |
