Title: Stitchin results of two transient simulations Post by sutapanaki on Sep 3rd, 2017, 9:34pm Hi, This might be a simple question for those who are skilled in spectre but it seems I can't figure out how to do the following. I want to run two transient simulation, the second one starting from a point in time where the first simulation finished or perhaps at a point of time somewhere during the run of the first simulation. Then I would like to stitch together the results of the first and second simulation. I hope this is possible and going from the first to the second simulation can be done quite seamlessly. Thanks for your help. |
Title: Re: Stitchin results of two transient simulations Post by sheldon on Sep 4th, 2017, 9:01pm Sutapanaki, This is an issue for ViVA not Spectre. There are multiple options for displaying the results. Making some assumptions based on your comments, you did not use save/restart. So both simulations start from time 0. In that case you have a couple of calculator functions available to you: clip() and lshift(). clip() allows you to select the data to be plotted lshift() allows you to shift the data along the time axis These should provide you what you need. Title: Re: Stitchin results of two transient simulations Post by Andrew Beckett on Sep 9th, 2017, 12:13am The same question was posted on the Cadence Community Forums - so I answered it there - this gives a way of stitching the results together in ViVA, plus explains a bit about save and restore. https://community.cadence.com/cadence_technology_forums/f/38/t/37700 Andrew |
