Title: Dominant Pole Identification with Spectre
Post by erikwanta on Feb 11th, 2004, 6:21pm

I was thinking that I could use the captab output in conjuction with the XF transimpedance results to indentify the dominant pole in a circuit.  Any thoughts?

Note that I also tried running the ac sensitivity analysis but I get 0 sensitivity for all my parameters for some reason.

I found out why AC sensitivity analysis wasn't working:

Currently Spectre cannot compute sensitivity of terminal currents for AC.
We need to install iprobes in order for Spectre to be able to do that.

Another bug PCR P1:553284 is currently filed with R&D on this issue. It
is not yet decided how this PCR will be fixed; however a possibility R&D
is considering is for Artist to auto insert current probes in the netlist
if there are sens statements for terminal currents for AC.

Currently the iprobe needs to be manually inserted in the netlist.
