Title: How to make a NMOS and BJT library on your own in
Post by naren on Jun 27th, 2004, 2:10am

hello members

I want to make my own NMOS and PMOS and NPN and PNP libraries in Orcad 9 so that I can use the schematic editor and build any circuit based on these models and do "neat" step by step schematic entry followed by simulation.

For example

I have following  data for a NMOS and PMOS
(taken from page 37 from Razavi)

LEVEL 1 SPICE MODEL

NMOS:-
LEVEL=1 VTO=0.7 GAMMA=0.45 PHI=0.9 NSUB=9e+14 LD=0.08e-6 UO=350 LAMBA=0.1 TOX=9e-9 PB=0.9 CJ=0.56e-3 CJSW=0.35e-11 MJ=0.45 MJSW=0.2 CGDO=0.4e-9 JS=1.0e-8

PMOS:-
LEVEL=1 VTO=-0.8 GAMMA=0.4 PHI=0.8 NSUB=5e+14 LD=0.09e-6 UO=100 LAMBA=0.2 TOX=9e-9 PB=0.9 CJ=0.94e-3 CJSW=0.32e-11 MJ=0.5 MJSW=0.3 CGDO=0.3e-9 JS=0.5e-8

Now can someone please help me make a nice symbol in Orcad which has its pspice model based on the above parameters?

I have made NPN and NMOS and PMOS and PNP before usibng Orcad 9 myself but now I am having some problems.

It would be extremely useful if someone could just give the step by instructions....I read the pdf files that come with Orcad and there seems to be some serious mistakes in their instructions for making what I want

Some one please help me

kind regards

Naren
