Title: Spectre PSS analysis for switched cap circuits
Post by Mohit on Aug 16th, 2004, 6:32pm

I am a newbie working with spectre. I read few posts on this forum and it is suggested that using PSS analysis is much faster for CMFB circuits.

I just wanted to make sure if this generalizes to all circuits that have capacitors and a clock. I have made a simple integrator circuit with capacitors as switch and was wondering if I could make simulations faster.

Also what do i do if I need to transient simulation of the above circuit, as what i can see in spectre is we have only pss, pac and pnoise.

Also does any one has the basic tutorial of these analysis (pss et al), coz when i choose pss as analysis, it asks me fundamental tone, name, expr, value, signal etc. (i m not really sure how to choose all this; Sorry I am a newbie)

You should read Ken's paper:
