Dear all,

I am designing a delta sigma modulator with fs = 40MHz by 0.35um technology.

My friend challenge me that 0.6um is capable for my frequeny range, why i need to spend more money on 0.35um technology.

Could anyone tell me how to answer his question?

Maybe it consumes lower power due to the reduction of power supply voltage.

Although the NRE cost is expensive for 0.35um technology, it is cheap for one die because there are much more dies on one wafer. It is more important if the sigma-delta need to be put in a SOC. :)
