Title: Current source
Post by vivekrc on Sep 14th, 2004, 7:21pm

How could I design a current source using the 0.13 micron technologhy libraries which can give me a constant DC current of 1m A?

I tried the current mirror......any suggestions?

Waiting on ur replies

what is the exact problem?
are you not having a scalable library or what?

what is exact problem?

anyways since u seem to need a current source...I wonder if u need a high enuf o/p resistance too...in that case anyway u may need to use a wide swing type current mirror anyways....anyways let see ...do reply man

The problem I am having is to generate a current source...using current mirror which can give me a output current of 1 mA. Also I need a high o/p resistance.

what is a wide swing current mirror?

Also I need to know which analysis do I need to use to find the exact current.

I need to use this current source in a current mode sample and hold circuit....which I have to fianlly put on layout.

Would really apprecaite if u could suggest me a way to get thro ....

please use chapter 4 from

analysis and design of analog ICs by gray, meyer, hurst, lewis

it is not easy to explain here

rather impossible
