Title: tiburon-da (verilog -A)
Post by chris on Oct 1st, 2004, 2:37am

hello all,

can anybody describe a little bit about the verilog-A language  in tiburon-da compiler? how does it works with ADS simulator and ICCAP ?
thanks

The Tiburon-DA compiler supports the LRM2.1 standard (with a few minor exceptions). The compiler generates shared libraries that link to a proprietary interface. This simulator-specific interface has been integrated into several commercial simulators such as Agilent's ADS and RFDE. Verilog-A models are supported in all the analysis types (including HB, circuit envelope, and nonlinear noise).

The Verilog-A models have the look and feel of built-in devices. The netlist format is the same, including model card support.  Built-in models can be overridden by Verilog-A models of the same name.

A compiled approach provides speed comparable to c-coded models with the added advantage of IP protection. The Tiburon-DA product is an integral part of the simulator solution (the compiler works behind the scene without any extra effort by the user).

Agilent's parameter extraction program IC-CAP works with ADS and other simulators. Verilog-A support is transparent, users only need to put the Verilog-A source code in a directory in the search path.
