Title: Simulation switched capacitor in HspiceRF Post by sch on Nov 23rd, 2004, 7:34am I have a switched capacitor filter and Hspice RF simulator to do the simulation. Did anyone know how to use the Hspice RF and the difference between Spectre RF PSS and PAC in Hspice RF ? thanks in advances! |
Title: Re: Simulation switched capacitor in HspiceRF Post by August West on Nov 24th, 2004, 8:25am I have not used HSpiceRF, however it is my understanding that HSpiceRF is a harmonic balance based simulator. Harmonic balance is not well suited for SC filters because it works in the frequency domain. SpectreRF uses a time-domain approach and so should be considerably faster and more accurate. If you have to use HSpiceRF, you will have to use a very large number of harmonics. -August |
