Title: PSS and PAC simulation
Post by Won on Feb 13th, 2005, 3:32pm

Hi,
I'm  trying to simulate the PSS AND PAC.
In my circuit, I put the switch between opamp and input source.
input source is a dc voltage and clock frequency of switch is 200kHz.
But I want to simulate the PAC to see the gain from my input source to opamp output.
But my input source is dc, and I put some ac amplitude at my input source without frequency.
And in the Spectre, Beat frequency is set to my clock frequency.
How do I see my DC gain ?
would you please give me any advice?

Best regards

You can see the DC gain by setting the PAC input frequency to 0.  Or, you can sweep the input frequency from 0 to some other value.

Thanks Ken.
But, I have no idea how to simualte the PAC.
I've never done this before.
In PAC, how do I set the maximum sideband?
And In PSS, How do I set Number of homonics?
And Would you please explain what they mean?

Best regards

Please read the manual (SpectreRF User Guide and SpectreRF Theory) in "cdsdoc", rather than asking such an open ended question. Unless you invest some effort, you won't learn.

Also, you might want to take a look at http://www.designers-guide.com/Analysis/rf-sim.pdf as a good introduction.

If once you've looked at these, then by all means ask a specific question.

Regards,

Andrew.
