Title: Assura can't be loaded due to shared object file
Post by CDR on Mar 19th, 2005, 11:06am

Dear All,

After I setup the $ASSURAHOME directory,I open the layout in icfb, and I got warining message:
Load shared object file /sw/cadence/assura/tools/assura/lib/libavview.so
*Warning* Failed to open shared object file /sw/cadence/assura/tools/assura/lib/libavview.so
loading techComp.cxt

But I could see the file is in the installed directory. Do I have to set the LD_LIBRARY_PATH?

Is there any clue to my problem?

Thanks

Are you using compatible versions of Assura and IC? What is your IC subversion (icfb -W), and what is the assura build (assura -V and assura -W)?

You should not have to set LD_LIBRARY_PATH to point to the Assura libraries.

Thanks,

Andrew.

Thank you Andrew.

My IC subversion is 5.0.0.500.28
The assura subversion is 3.0.5

The ic50 is installed earlier, assura is installed later after ic50 is installed.Do I have to ask the administrator to reconfigure the license file? I run the icfb, check options, can't see assura is in the available license list. Is that the possible reason?

How to reconfigure or reecombine the license file?I didn't see that in the installation manual. The machine is a Pentium based linux machine with Gigabytes memory.

Thanks again

Both of those are pretty old versions. In fact I think both are the very first versions available on Linux.

Neither are supported any more.

You would be advised to install newer, supported, versions of the tools (e.g. IC5033, IC5141. ASSURA 313).

I don't think it is a license issue (it might be, but probably not).

Regards,

Andrew.
