is spectre different from spectreRF? Can I do PAC and PSS in spectre? I find these analyses explained in spectre documentation...Infact I tried to do the analyses of diff amp with SC CMFB and it was successfull..but I am unable to see my results in wavescan ...i.e., I am unable to see my gain and phase plots....can u guys please send  me exact specifications to be used in the analysis...i.e., decks... thank u

You need another license of spectreRF

dear wued,

I do have a valid license file for spectreRF. I am able to do PAC and PSS with out any errors and warnings..but I am unable to see my outputs in waveform window...I use command prompt i.e., for simulating I use the following command..

spectre file.scs -raw  ../results/file.raw

Is it ok to use the same command for spectreRF also?

thank u

The command is the same - it's the same simulator.

My (wild) guess is that you're using IC5033 (or earlier). In that version, wavescan only supported ac, tran, dc and sp analyses - and none of the RF analysis.

If you're using IC5141 wavescan standalone supports all these analyses outputs.

So if using IC5033, you'll need to use "awd" to look at the results.

Regards,

Andrew.

yes, you are absolutely right...I am using IC5033. May I know what is "awd".

awd is the "Analog Waveform Display" tool - it's essentially the same waveform display that's part of the Analog Design Environment (aka AnalogArtist).

Type "awd" and it will invoke this waveform tool. It's being replaced by wavescan in the long run.

Regards,

Andrew.

As of 5.1 wavescan seems to be the default viewer. Luckily, it is easy to change to awd from the ADE->session->options... dialogue. So far, awd performs a bit better than wavescan, but that may change, I hope.
