Title: what wrong with the CadenceIC? Post by wjx197733 on Feb 12th, 2006, 10:09pm Hi, all: I count some troubles when I use CandeceIC5141. I setup CandeceIC5141 in linux system. But when I use "Analog Enviroment", CadenceIC shows: "*error* Unable to establish connection with SacnWave, please exit and re-start the workbench. " I do not know why this error occurs. Help me, please!!! |
Title: Re: what wrong with the CadenceIC? Post by bernd on Feb 13th, 2006, 1:36am What's 'SacnWave' I assume you mean 'wavescan', if you post a error messages in quotes people think it is the original output from the tool and not a retyped one, so cut and paste will do it for the next time. Could it be that you missed a part of your installation, maybe the Java Runtime Environment. Please check if the following directory exists <installDir>/tools/jre ;; link to <installDir>/tools/jre1.42 Just a guess, Bernd |
Title: Re: what wrong with the CadenceIC? Post by bernd on Feb 13th, 2006, 1:48am I knew that I have seen this before somewhere. And after a quick search at SourceLink I found the answer to it. So this should be the original error message Quote:
Then there is a SourceLink solution for this http://sourcelink.cadence.com/docs/db/kdb/2004/Aug/11150960.html Which says you should update to the latest ISR of IC5141. You can register for your own SourceLink account if you are a regular Cadence User at https://sourcelink.cadence.com/en/signup/SignUp.jhtml Bernd |

Under Analog Environment Menus Session -> Options ... Waveform Tool == AWD or as permanent default in your local .cdsenv file asimenv.startup cds_ade_wftool string "awd" Bernd |
