How to import a spice netlist to schematic in cadence IC5.1.41?

Thanks
Tom

The current possible ways are
1. CDL In; Command Interpreter Window (CIW) -> File -> Import -> CDL...
CDL is a Cadence proprietary format similar to Spice, mainly used for
the Schematic side for Layout versus Schematic checks.
2. Custom SKILL scripts.

But I recently posted a question to a similar forum which might be of interest

If you want to import it to layout you might look at a tool from Accelicon..
probably good enough for floorplanning purposes ..

You may want to take a look at the Laker-ADP from Silicon Canvas, not only can it import SPICE/CDL/EDIF, it can generate a human readable schematic for further editing.

File->Import->CDL can also generate a readable schematic.

In IC610, you'll also be able to import SPICE and spectre netlists (CDL is pretty SPICE-like anyway). See:

There's an article on this on http://www.cdnusers.org but the server is down at the moment so I can't give the exact link.

Andrew.
