Title: Error found by spectre during circuit read-in. Post by rajks1982 on Nov 2nd, 2006, 11:13pm Hello analog design lovers, Am trying to simulate an inductor circuit. I get this error message while doing so. Any idea why this is happening. " Simulating `raw/inductor' on mercury at 11:08:34 PM, Thur Nov 2, 2006. Error found by spectre during circuit read-in. raw/inductor: xl is an instance of an undefined model ind. spectre terminated prematurely due to fatal error. " -- Rajeev. |
Title: Re: Error found by spectre during circuit read-in. Post by bernd on Nov 3rd, 2006, 2:00am You have not assigned a model to your inductor. Look in the properties for the instance if you can find a field called 'model' you have to fill this out with the appropriate model name. Bernd |
Title: Re: Error found by spectre during circuit read-in. Post by bernd on Nov 3rd, 2006, 2:45am My information was wrong. Correction, this error appears if the model is set, but you have not assigned a model library where the simulator can find the model. If you have a valid inductor model, set this in the Analog Design Environment under "Setup -> Model Libraries..." or use the spectre build in "inductor". Bernd |
Title: Re: Error found by spectre during circuit read-in. Post by rajks1982 on Nov 3rd, 2006, 1:01pm Thanks Bernd for a quick response. Am sure that I have the right model path and it is included. Am assuming that it is unable to read those models. I get the same message when I use appropriate models for both spectre ans spectreS. Do I have to also include the file extension? My spectreS models have no extension but the spectre models have a .scs extension. Is this any problem? |
