Hello,
Does anyone know what "ground return path" in the context of inductance extraction means? I am using Calibre to extract Ls and need to specify ground return path. I can't quite find an explanation for what it means. Why can it not calculate the self inductance of a wire like asitic does without any reference to return path.
I'd really appreciate any comments on this issue.

That's because Calibre uses loop inductance to calculate inductance. You would need to set the power and ground names to be all of the nets that you have for power and ground, for example, VDD and VSS. If you don't want to use loop inductance, I believe that you can use the SVRF statement PEX DIFFERENTIAL PAIR, which will do partial inductance.
