Title: 64 bit cadence, icfb Post by wave on Nov 11th, 2008, 10:56am Hello - I believe we have a 64b version of Cadence. How do I verify and launch icfb? Perhaps: icfb -64 & thanks Wave |
Title: Re: 64 bit cadence, icfb Post by bernd on Nov 17th, 2008, 8:17am I would recommend to set the UNIX environment 'CDS_AUTO_64BIT' variable to CDS_AUTO_64BIT=EXCLUDE:si.exe This will tell Cadence DFII to use all existing 64 bit executables except CDL-in/out. There is no 'icfb -64'. * |
Title: Re: 64 bit cadence, icfb Post by Andrew Beckett on Jan 2nd, 2009, 11:55pm The focus on 64 bit support has always been to provide 64 bit executables where there is a capacity need. There is no benefit in running 64 bit apps otherwise (it just increases your memory consumption!) So support has (so far) been limited to layout, stream in/out, physical verification, and simulation. That means for DFII, the "layout" executable is available in 64 bit mode. In the upcoming IC614 release, Cadence should be providing 64-bit support across Virtuoso, as this is becoming increasingly necessary. Regards, Andrew. |
