Title: Envelope Analysis is available in Cadence AMS ? Post by pancho_hideboo on Feb 14th, 2009, 5:28am I have some questions about AMS simulation of Cadence. Currently I can use Verilog-AMS models in cosimulation between Envelope Analysis of Agilent ADSsim and Cadence NCSim. In next release Agilent GoldenGate, I can use Verilog-AMS models in cosimulation between Envelope Analysis of Agilent GoldenGate and Cadence NCSim. Currently only Transient Analysis of GoldenGate is available in cosimulation with Cadence NCSim. Of course, Verilog-A(MS) models which include hidden states in analog block can't be treated in Envelope Analysis of Agilent ADSsim and GoldenGate. Instead I can use special behavioral models called FDD in Envelope Analysis of Agilent ADSsim. (1) Envelope Analysis(both shooting and HB) of Cadence is available in AMS simulation ? The Verilog-A models which include hidden states are refused in Envelope Analysis of Cadence Spectre. (2) If there are hidden states in analog block of Verilog-AMS models, how to treat these hidden states in Cadence Envelope Analysis of AMS ? |

Spectre RF New Features in MMSIM 6.2 AMS and SpectreRF Envelope Analysis Co-Simulation Spectre RF now supports co-simulation with AMS Designer for envelope analyses such as multi-carrier, autonomous, and FM modulation. Is this for both shooting and HB ? |
Title: Re: Envelope Analysis is available in Cadence AMS ? Post by Andrew Beckett on Feb 15th, 2009, 5:26am Yes, it supports both HB and Shooting. It's slightly misleading that it's mentioned in the MMSIM62 release notes, because the capability comes in the IUS stream - but the IUS stream based on MMSIM62 or later contains this, which means IUS611 or later, I think...
