Hey all -

When doing antenna characterization, in order to get absolute measurements, you need to do an antenna range calibration procedure. One of the things needed to do that is a reference source at the center of your antenna range with a calibrated output power. You can build it yourself or buy the thing.

There is a device out there for this, I have seen it, and I am looking for the manufacturer/source of it.

It consists of a standing 1/4 wave antenna, over a metal ground plane (about the size of a pie plate) and is a calibration beacon for putting out a defined amplitude signal. If I recall, it's battery powered.

Anyone know the name or source on this? I am sure its buried on the internet someplace, but I can't find it yet.
