I'll be at DAC this year moderating a panel discussion on SPICE circuit simulators, so I'd love to hear what your favorite simulators are and also what questions I should ask my three panelists: Sun, ST, Atheros.

Sun?  How much spice-level simulation does Sun/Oracle do?

I'd ask what sort of simulations these folks are doing -- is it just top-level timing verification?

Did the panelists' companies switch to the best simulator, per their evaluation, or was the decision made to use a different simulator from the EDA vendor with whom the company already had a volume purchase agreement or whose simulator was already integrated in the flow?  (Netlists and model libraries are different, though vendor X claims to read vendor Y's format, they may not guarantee 100% compatibility.)

Geoffrey,

Sun in it's hey days did some top-notch microprocessor designs with the SPARC architecture.

Thanks for the panelist questions.

Daniel

Also it'll be good to ask what flow they use for AMS and what value they see in doing it.

By flow do you mean top-down or bottom-up?
