Title: please help me about calibreview
Post by Read_wdx on Jul 13th, 2010, 7:55pm

Hi,every one
when I use calibre 2008 pex to extract parasitical R and C of my circuit, I can not get correct calibreview file, this calibreview file does not contain any parasitic component( R and C),and it does not include pins.I try many setups for cailbre, but not work,I need help.
I am new man about calibre, but now I must use it to verify my RF IC circuit.I use TSMC 13rf technogy process, and I use calibre 2008 to verify my circuit.
 Tanks all

Hi wdx,

TSMC provides a file named calview.cellmap that maps all extracted devices to the corresponding cells in tsmc PDK. Usually the mapping of parasitic res and cap are not in that file. But it's not a problem.

  • A small window named Map Calibre Device pops up if calibre tool cannot find the mapping in calview.cellmap.
  • Then click Browse button, look for the cell res and cap in analogLib.
  • Click Auto Map Pins. Done.

Good luck

Hi,

I use the same to map the device, but why only "r" and "c" shows the pop-up window, not other devices from the design kits. So it means in the calview.calibremap file, I only have "r" and "c".

Any one knows how to map the devices from the design kits?

I find the file. Thank you.

Jacki.

Hi Jacki,

All other cells except 'r' and 'c' for parasitics are defined in calview.cellmap.
