well! I suppose they save on R&D instead which would explain a fair bit ;-)

Anyway, it is interesting to see that only 2 out of the 10 companies on the list are not into the electronics business, i.e. Coca Cola and CA. Wonder how the list looked 10 years ago?

While both the big players on the FPGA market are in there for obvious reasons, the real big names of the electronics industry are missing - Intel, TI, Samsung, Apple, IBM...evidently, their market presence and image are strong enough.
