Title: Analog Verification Post by neetirajgor on Sep 26th, 2011, 10:18pm HI I am M.tech student. My dissertation topic is "analog verification". I would like know about which are the Cadence tool available for analog verification because I m right now going through feasibility phase. |
Title: Re: Analog Verification Post by ywguo on Oct 6th, 2011, 6:56pm I assume you do analog function verification with verilog-AMS. If you choose cadence tool, you need ncvlog/ncelab/ncsim and spectre simulator. ncvlog/ncelab/ncsim are integrated in IUS stream, which is combined in INCISIVE stream since INCISIVE 9.x. You need IC stream (ic 5.x or ic 6.x) or MMSIM for spectre simulator. |
Title: Re: Analog Verification Post by boe on Oct 7th, 2011, 1:42am Neetirajgor, Simulators are Spectre or - for large designs - APS and UltraSim Fast SPICE. They all support analog modeling using Verilog-A. If you need digital as well, you should go for Verilog-AMS (or perhaps VHDL-AMS) using the simulators ywguo mentioned. If you are interested in Methodology/Design Flow, e.g. use of digital design methodology for analog blocks, you should check the digital tools. There used to be attempts to extend them to mixed-signal designs - don't know about their status though. - B O E |
