With all the hype surrounding Steve Jobs, the passing of Dennis Richie went almost unnoticed. For those of you who don't know, Dennis along with Ken Thompson created Unix and he created C with the help of Brian Kernighan. It is hard to overstate his impact on our world. Some have decided to honor him by declaring today, Oct. 30, Dennis Richie Day. He is deserving of at least that.
