Title: Transistor output power Post by smwk on Oct 28th, 2013, 9:42am The datasheet of NXP’s BLF6G20LS-140 LDMOS transistor says that it is a 140 W transistor. And the average output power is 35.5. M y question is that on what the average output power depends or how the average output power is 35.5 W. The datasheet is attached. |
Title: Re: Transistor output power Post by aaron_do on Oct 28th, 2013, 5:41pm Hi, the average power is based on the test signal they used. It is written in the datasheet. Note that the test signal has a PAR of 7 dB, meaning that although the average power is 35.5 W, the peak power is around 178 W. The 140 W they mention is for a continuous wave and they were testing the load mismatch capabilities. Their testing seems to be under very specific conditions. So if you're looking for very general information, it looks like the datasheet isn't enough. Aaron |
