Title: Experience with overdrive devices in 55nM?
Post by SNIKE on Sep 7th, 2014, 3:54am

Hi All,

I am using 55nM TSMC process. The 55nM has two I/O devices.
One is 2.5V device and another one is 3.3V device [2.5V over-drive].
Are those 3.3V devices good for analog design? For example can I design/tapeout a audio amplifier using them?
I am worried because they are not natural 3.3V devices[ these have same gate oxide as 2.5V] but these are tweaked to handle more voltage.

Does anyone have tapeout experience using these devices?
Are there any discrepancies between Models and silicon performance?

please check IO devices in LP .

Thanks
SNIKE.
