Title: Representation/Effect of a delay element in the frequency domain? Post by Rosh on Oct 7th, 2015, 11:12pm Hi everyone, If I have a simple RC low pass filter in which the output is taken across the capacitor, with a particular cut off frequency say x Hz. Now if I were to introduce a delay in the path of the resistor, how will the bandwidth of the LPF change? How do I visualize this delay in the frequency domain? |
Title: Re: Representation/Effect of a delay element in the frequency domain? Post by loose-electron on Oct 9th, 2015, 5:17pm fixed time delay can be represented as a phase delay in frequency domain. Variable phase as a function of frequency. |
